Suleiman Abba, the former Inspector-General of police has said that his removal was an act of God, noting that he took over office at a time of political tension.
He however noted that the elections were free and fair.
While handing over to his replacement, Solomon Arase, he said: “I want to appeal to those who for any reason I may have offended due to lack of proper judgment as the case may be.
“For those who felt deeply offended, find a place in your heart to forgive me it is God that judges."
He thanked President Jonathan for giving him the opportunity to lead.
