The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Sa'ad (who is also President of Jamatul Nasril Islam (JNI) has cautioned the General Overseer of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo to stop heating up the polity ahead of 2015.

He also had words for Asari Dokubo, Victor Ben Ebikabowei (Boy Loaf), Government Ekpudomenowei (Tompolo) and other militants, telling them to stop "beating war drums" and threatening trouble if President Jonathan should lose the February 14 Presidential elections.

The sultan said Bishop Oyedepo should instead be preaching peace ahead of the elections instead of sowing discord.

He noted that the election period is already rife with anxiety and tension, and that is why leaders should refrain from making vitriolic statements to upset the polls.

The monarch said Muslims and Christians must come together in peace to vote and adhere to the rules for a fair and peaceful election.
