The chairman of the disciplinary committee of the PDP, Umaru Dikko is in a London hospital undergoing treatment for a recurrent illness which is associated with old age. It was gathered that he had been down with the same illness some months ago but he was treated.
Members of the committee are having concerns over Dikko's health with the leadership of the party considering the possibility of asking the committee’s Deputy Chairman, King A.J. Turner, to act as the chairman, if Dikko fails to return before the inauguration of the panel.
The PDP however denied insinuations that the committee's work would suffer due to Dikko's health condition.
He is recovering and hopefully, he'll be back before or during Sallah.
