The Consumer Protection Council has ordered Coca Cola Nigeria and the Nigerian Bottling Company to avail their manufacturing processes to the council’s inspection for 12 months to ascertain their adherence to the laid down safety standards and regulations or face prosecution from the council.
This directive was informed by a recent investigation by the CPC into Coca Cola Nigeria, where it was discovered that cans of Sprite soft drink manufactured by NBC under Coca Cola Nigeria’s license were unfit for human consumption.
