Nigeria - An 18-year old auxiliary Nurse (names withheld) at a private hospital was the victim of four armed robbers as they took turns to rape her when they couldn't find enough cash in the hospital.
The robbers stormed the hospital, located around Egan in Lagos state around 3 am, scaled the fence and gained entry into the premises.
They overpowered a 19-year-old security guard from Niger Republic who was on duty, tied him with rope and locked him in a room before carrying out their operation.
The robbers also carted away phones and valuables belonging to patients on admission at the hospital.
The staff on night duty were brutally attacked and wounded and when the roobers could not get enough money, they resorted to raping the teenage nurse in turns.
According to PM News, the angry alleged that the owner of the hospital did not provide security for his staff and thereby subjected her to mental torture after she was raped and she lost her virginity.
She reported the incident to the police at Igando Division and the medical director was arrested and later released on bail.
It is believed that robbers have raided the hospital three times since the beginning of the year.
The Police confirmed the incident and added that investigations into the matter is on.
