Going by the sophisticated weapons of Boko Haram, President Goodluck Jonathan said at the weekend that the government is on the trail of their foreign backers. The President also said that he has approved the disbursement of N1 billion to the military to upgrade detention camps for the Islamist insurgents following complaints.
He has also defended the military operations, saying that contrary to reports that the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) committed human rights abuses, it was the terrorists that were killing with reckless abandon, noting that most of the reported torture and killings were carried out by Boko Haram.
