Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola has appealed to Nigerians that the present hardship being faced all over the country could be likened to a hard labour being experienced by pregnant woman in the delivery room – filled with pains and agony, adding that change does not come without pain.

Ogbeni, who has recently been embroiled in series of controversies of backlog of workers’ salaries, among others explained that what Nigerians need at the moment is to double their support for government in finding lasting solutions to myriads of challenges confronting the nation.

He said this in his office while receiving a plaque from the leadership of the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering NATE, Osun state chapter.

According to him, “Change does not come easily, change comes generally with pain and it is this pain that will turnout for good. There is no doubt about the fact that we are going through serious socio-economic and politic of unrest and it is my fervent belief that after this period, Nigerians will experience good life, joy and happiness.” He noted that “the period we are in now is what could be referred to as ‘labour of child delivery because when a pregnant woman is about to deliver, she goes through unaccountable pains and agony, but after this period, happiness take over with celebration.
