The presidency has explained why suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and National Intelligence Agency, Ayo Oke was not handed over to relevant agencies to handle.
There were calls from some quarters that the SGF was supposed to be handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and Directorate of State Security in case of Oke.
Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina in an interview with Vanguard said that the government treated the case the best way it could.
He said: ‘’It’s a matter of procedure by government. If government feels this is the way we want to go about it, so long as it is legal, then there is nothing wrong with it.’’
