“The most dangerous parts of a flight are takeoff and landing. Rarely do incidents happen when a plane is cruising seven miles (11 kilometers) above the Earth,” Business Insider said, on the missing Malaysia Airlines jet.
Since the jet is yet to be found, everyone else is basically in the dark as to how a whole passenger plane vanished from the sky. One thing that can be sure, though, is whatever happened to the flight was “quick and left the pilots no time to place a distress call,” as aviation experts have assumed.
Business Insider proffers some hypotheses as to why the Malaysian airline jet may have disappeared. They include:
1. A CATASTROPHIC STRUCTURAL FAILURE:
2. BAD WEATHER
3. PILOT DISORIENTATION
4. FAILURE OF BOTH ENGINES
5. A BOMB
6. HIJACKING
7. PILOT SUICIDE
8. ACCIDENTAL SHOOTDOWN
