The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted bail to Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, following his arrest for alleged currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira. Bobrisky, whose real name is not disclosed, remains in custody as he has yet to fulfill the undisclosed bail conditions.

Bobrisky's arrest stemmed from his involvement in an event in Lagos on March 24, where he was filmed spraying money, considered a violation of Naira spraying laws. The EFCC initiated an investigation after a video surfaced online, showing Bobrisky flaunting wads of new Naira notes at the Ajakaju movie premiere. Further investigation revealed additional instances where Bobrisky allegedly committed similar offences at various event centers and parties.

Confirming the arrest, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale stated that Bobrisky was detained for currency mutilation and abusing the Naira, emphasizing that he remains in the EFCC's custody in Lagos. While the bail conditions remain undisclosed, it is speculated that surrendering his international passport may be among them.
