Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria's president-elect on Wednesday denied barring AIT from covering his events saying it was the work of an overzealous aide.
A Statement issued on behalf of Buhari by Garba Shehu, the head of the media and publicity directorate of the APC presidential campaign, said, ''The time of change has come and we must avoid making the same mistakes that the outgoing government made''
The statement advised aides of the President elect to stick to their duties, ''I would like everyone to henceforth stay within his/her defined area of responsibility''.
Buhari's decision to bar AIT 2 days ago was also announced by Shehu.
