Ali Modu Sheriff, the reinstated National Chairman of the PDP has stated that he will step down from his position if voted out at the upcoming National Conference of the party.
According to ThisDay, he said those itching to get rid of him should wait for the national convention to vote for a new leader of the party.
He explained that he'd earlier agreed with his rival Senator Ahmed Makarfi prior to the declaration of the Appeal Court, that they would abide by the verdict and that no one would do anything further to destroy the party.
He then called for unity in the party.
