The All Progressives Congress (APC), if given the mandate in upcoming elections, will fight corruption in the country to foster nation, the party's Interim Chairman in Sokoto State, Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir, told newsmen on Monday.
Describing corruption as the major factor responsible for the country’s backwardness, he said that democratic governance would only be possible if an effective war against corruption was waged to meet the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.
"This will also provide the change Nigerians have been yearning for to move the nation forward," he said adding that poverty, corruption and unemployment would be tackled for Nigerians to have sense of belonging.
Abdulkadir expressed optimism that the electorate would massively work toward achieving the desired political change in the 2015 general elections.
He, however, called on party supporters in the state not to be intimidated by opposition parties.
