Mr. Yahaya Usman-Baba, Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, chapter, while speaking with newsmen on Friday has appealed to the management of Nasarawa Polytechnic to pay 39 months hazard allowance of its members.
"I want to appeal to the authority of the polytechnic as a matter of necessity to pay our members 39 months hazard allowance as agreed upon by the union and management.
"Payment of the hazard allowance will go a long way to improve the living condition of our members and boost their morale,’’ Usman-Baba said
He expressed the determination of the union to support the management of the polytechnic to succeed and also urged members of the union to avoid sharp practices capable of tarnishing their image, and urged them to discharge their duties without fear or favour.
