Few days after dumping the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, the former Vice President, Atiku Aubakar has started reaching out to some serving and former governors of both in the ruling and main opposition party, in an effort to increase his political weight ahead of 2019.
DailyTrust reliably gathered that Atiku is making efforts to work with the former governors and infact he might take one of them from the South if he gets the presidential ticket.
The newspaper reported that those he is in talks with “directly and by proxy” are:
1. Former President Goodluck Jonathan
2. Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo
3. Bamanga Tukur,
4. Adamu Chiroma,
5. Edwin Clark
