The 22nd Ordinary Session of African Union (AU) Assembly of Heads of State and Government is to hold between Jan. 30 and Jan. 31, 2014 in Addis Ababa, says a statement issued by the Commission’s Directorate of Information and Communication on Friday.
The statement said the two-day Summit would focus on developing the continent’s agriculture sector.
The summit has as its theme; ``Transforming Africa’s Agriculture: Harnessing Opportunities for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development ``.
It said that the summit would be preceded by the 27th Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC) to be held between Jan. 21 and Jan. 23, 2014.
According to the statement, the PRC meeting would be followed by the 24th AU Executive Council expected to hold between Jan. 27 and Jan. 28, 2014.
``The 22nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union will hold on 30-31 January 2014 at the Large Conference Hall of the Commission’s building,`` the statement said.
