Sports CHAN 2014: It's too early to determine if Nigeria will win the trophy- NFF director

Director of competition of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) Mohammed Sanusi has said that it is too early to be tipping the homebased Eagles to win the African Nations Championship(CHAN)

Nigeria is being considered as one of the favourites to win the competition after qualifying for the last eight ahead of South Africa.

"It is too premature for us to start talking about winning the CHAN now, let us talk first about qualification and if we do that starting from this Saturday, then we can now begin the trophy talk,” Sanusi told Brila FM.

Nigeria will on Saturday take on Morocco in the quarter-finals looking to advance to the last four.

It is Nigeria's first appearance at the CHAN tournament,having missed out on the first two editions.
