After initially stalling about signing a new contract,Real Madrid star-player,Cristiano Ronaldo,has reportedly agreed a new deal,that could possibly see him end his career with the Spanish giants.
Ronaldo will sign an extension to his contract that will last to the summer of 2018,with the Portuguese going to earn €17 million net pay,which will make him the highest earner in Spanish football.
Last season Ronaldo voiced his unhappiness at Madrid,with various reports saying that he was eager to return to former club,Manchester United.
But Madrid President,Florentino Perez was adamant that Ronaldo would sign a new contract and finish his career at the club; after meeting with the player in USA on Sunday,both were believed to have sorted out their differences.
“It is clear that there is now a better understanding between them,” sources from both camps were quoted as saying on Spanish football site Marca.
Ronaldo will now be earning one million Euros, more than Barcelona star Lionel Messi,who earns €16m at the Camp Nou.
An official annoucement is expected to be made,before the start of the Spanish League season.
