Dubai prides itself as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and truly has been confirmed to be so. The growing city has a long list of being referred to as the city of gold, the city of dreams, the city of life, the city of skyscrapers, of attractions, of holidays. This video highlights some of the reasons to visit the beautiful city.
1. Shopping
Shopping is only one of the very many reasons people visit Dubai. Dubai has been ranked as the world’s second most important international retail destination for the third consecutive year. The shopping in Dubai is like nowhere else, the stores may be the same but the experience is incredible.
2. Cheap Foods: Dubai boasts of 200 nationalities among its residents. These 200 nationalities have brought with them a similar number of cuisines, and the visitor is spoilt for choice when it comes to food variety. People visit Dubai for the luxury of it all, but some of the best foods in Dubai are from one of the poorest neighbourhoods.
3. Warm Weather: The climate is a reason in and of itself to visit Dubai. It stays moderate and warm, and can be a great break from the cold European temperatures. Summer months are hot, indeed, but the winter months (October to April) are immensely pleasant and plentiful. Besides, even during the summer months, a host of available indoor activities coupled with lower than usual hotel rates add to the charm of visiting this immensely popular place.
4. The Man-made Islands: As an extreme display of wealth, Dubai has an offshore project in which they have created man-made islands into shapes off the coast. The first is in the shape of a palm tree, and the second is better known and is called “The World.” If you have enough money, you can buy yourself a “country.”
5. Modern Architecture: The architecture in Dubai is like a display of new and modern architecture. The Burj Al Arab, or Burj Dubai, is not only an architectural masterpiece but the world’s tallest hotel.
6. Travellers' City: Dubai is a meeting place for world travellers. Dubai visitors have chances of meeting people from all walks of life from every corner of the earth. This diversity makes for a dynamic atmosphere and an unforgettable trip.
7. Major Golf Tournaments: Dubai is somewhat obsessed with golf. Major tournaments with huge cash prizes are hosted there every year. If you want to get a couple of swings in yourself head over to Tiger Wood’s course that he designed himself.
8. One of the World's Safest Cities: Dubai boasts as one of the world’s safest cities. Some say crime is almost non-existent within the city lines. Even as the city becomes more global than several other established international hotspots, it is literally untouched by the crime that usually accompanies globalisation. Unlike other commercial capitals around the world, people in Dubai don’t fear stepping out alone even late at night, confident in the knowledge that the emirate’s world-class police has ensured that it remains one of the safest places on the planet.
9. Luxurious and Extravagant Hotels: Dubai is a wealthy city and if you have got the money to spend, this is where you should do it. Dubai has the finest luxury hotels that the world can offer. The city that boasts of a huge number of world records even has its own hospitality championship. Iconic hotels in the emirate range from the 7-star Burj Al Arab to the magnificent Atlantis, the Al Maha Desert Resort, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Bab Al Shams, Dusit Thani, Armani Hotel, Mina A’Salam and many more.
10. Hospitality: One of the things that dignify Dubai as a place to visit is the hospitable nature ot its people. Stories abound of its friendly and honest residents, some of whom have returned millions that they found left behind by an absent-minded tourist or fellow resident. No matter what social class, the people are known for their generosity and open arms which makes for a cozy welcome in a new place.
11. Beaches: Stunning beaches, water sports, indoor skiing, ice skating, a host of desert activities, a growing arts and culture scene, and amazing cuisines that span the globe are just a few of the other things that make Dubai beautiful.
