The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Honourable Justin Okonoboh, has been impeached.
Honourable Okonoboh was impeached by lawmakers at the Assembly on Monday in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
A member of the House, Hounourable Kabiru Ajoto, has been sworn in by the lawmakers the new Speaker.
Some of the allegations levelled against Honourable Okonoboh by the lawmakers include the fact that he shut down the House to attend his son’s graduation in the United States.
