Dr Henry Wampah, the Governor of Bank of Ghana is set for early retirement.
According to VANGUARD, an official statement from the bank on Wednesday said, Wampah would leave the bank on 1 April.
“Wampah is taking an early retirement from the Bank with effect from April 1, 2016 ahead of the end of his tenure which falls on August 5, 2016,” the statement said.
The statement said that Wampah would want to be remembered for the major reforms he initiated at the central bank that had resulted in the stability of the financial sector.
