The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC recovered $9.8million in cash from a secret bunker owned by Engineer Andrew Yakubu on Friday, February 3.

Yakubu was relieved of his job by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014.

In a report by Premium Times, the newspaper said Yakubu lost his job because he had a major disagreement with then minister of petroleum, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke.

When he was sacked, the Kaduna state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) condemned the removal of Yakubu by the Jonathan government, describing it as an ‘unceremonious removal’.
