In the last one year, India's export of computer software and IT products to Nigeria and some other countries of the world is estimated at $97 billion. This is a 16% increase compared to the $84 billion estimate of 2013-2014.
Other countries that received the IT products from India includes; Ghana, Botswana, Kenya, Mauritus, Namibia, Uganda, Zambia, Botswana, Ethioia, Tanzania, Cote D'Ivoire, Russia, Azerbaijan, Cameroon and Thailand and others. During the 2014-2015 period, the export of electronic harware stood at $6bn.
The Indian IT would have to adapt to the changing needs of her foreign clients in the areas of governance, education, activities of small businesses, law and household needs. Mr Kamal Vachani, an IT Regional Director said more large business units were considering IT as a different business. According to him, a large number of developing countries and less developed countries had embarked on IT application which is expected to promote IT businesses.
He added that about 150 IT firms in india were planning to attract some companies in the UAE to participate in the India show 2016 which was designed to project India's IT capabilities. The show seeks to improve the visibility of the Indian software industry, especially the SMEs and the startup companies in the global IT market.
It is expected that a huge IT business will ensue for Indian firms after the 2016 show which would be focused on business services, e-security, finance, banking, insurance, manufacturing, education and training, embedded software, animation, packaged software, and many more innovative technologies.
