Head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Stephen Keshi, has commended the home-based Eagles for raising their game and defeating South Africa in their game at the championship of African Nations CHAN.
Nigeria beat hosts South Africa 3-1 to qualify for the quarter finals of the tournament.
Keshi said that the boys deserved all the commendations as they proved their worth on the field of play.
"Its not me, the boys did all the work and I think they deserve to be commended for their efforts against Bafana boys".
"I will take the tournament as each game as they come and see how far we go in the tournament".
Keshi said that he would prepare the boys for each match and hopes they go all the way to win the championship for the very first time.
Meanwhile the Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund also praised the Eagles of Nigeria for their victory over his boys on Sunday.
The South African coach explained that the Eagles deserved the victory and wishes them all the best in the championship.
