Spanish Football club,Malaga have been able to Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa as a replacement for Willy Caballero after the Argentine left to join Manchester City this month.

Ochoa was one of the standout goalkeepers at the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil, where he conceded only three goals before Mexico crashed out in the second round to Holland.

"Malaga Club de Futbol has reached an agreement to sign one of the best goalkeepers from the recent World Cup in Brazil," the Qatar-owned club said on their website on Friday.

The 29-year old has playing for relegated French club AC Ajaccio for the past three seasons, and left the club as a free agent.

One of his best games at the World Cup was against Brazil, where he single-handedly repelled the hosts from finding the net in their 0-0 draw in one of their group games.

Malaga begin their La Liga campaign at home to Athletic Bilbao on August 23.
