Two months after some soldiers allegedly vandalised some Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses following the death of a lance corporal who was crushed to death, the Lagos State Government said the tribunal of inquiry is set to kick off.

The incident, which occurred on July 4, allegedly saw soldiers trooping out to unleash mayhem including vandalising the state-owned commercial buses after their colleague was crushed by a BRT bus.

Recall that the army authorities in Lagos, as well as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah, had exonerated the soldiers from the attack, stressing that the already tense situation was hijacked by hoodlums.

According to a statement made available to THISDAY by the secretary of the tribunal, Ms. Oludamilola Kesington, Governor Babatunde Fashola, had on Monday inaugurated the three-man Tribunal of Inquiry.
