First black African Miss World, Agbani Darego, was among the panel of judges at the recently concluded Miss World 2014, held at the Excel Arena in London.
The Miss World 2001 winner, Agbani, who is the only Nigerian to have worn the crown, was nominated to be among the panel of judges in the 64th edition of the Miss World competition, due to her experience in the pageantry.
The beauty queen, who was born on 22 December, 1982, graduated from the University of Port Harcourt, where she studied Computer science and Mathematics.
She was crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) in 2001, and in November that same year, she won the Miss World pageantry.
Amazingly, another African, Miss South Africa 2014, Rolene Strauss won the Miss World 2014 competition.
Do you think Agbani Darego’s presence in the panel of judges, influenced the decision to opt for Rolene Strauss, as the eventual winner of the Miss World 2014?
