Refuting claims that his government mismanaged huge funds from international donor organisations and humanitarian agencies, Governor Shettima 6 states donated to Borno to take care of Internally Displace Persons, IDPs.

Shettima told newsmen in Maiduguri, yesterday that, “contrary to wild assumptions that the state government received billions of cash donations in local and foreign currencies for the management of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), a total of N345 million is the overall amount received as cash donation by our administration from May, 2011 to date.”

The governor said the state government received N200 million in four years from the Federal Government during former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

According to Shettima, the 6 Nigerian states that donated include:

1. Lagos State – N50m in 2015

2. Edo State – N25m in 2013

3. Kano State – N20m in 2013.

4. Adamawa State – N20m

5. Ekiti State – N10m

6. Osun State - N10m
