Nigeria - Unconfirmed reports say the long queues in the western and northern part of the country caused by the current fuel scarcity are non-existent in the South eastern part of the country.

Although fuel price in the region has increased, it's believed that fuel is available.

Users of Nigeria's famous online forum, Nairaland, believe this is so because of the presence of multiple illegal refineries in the area.

It is believed that the Island inbetween Anambra and Delta is home to hundreds of illegal refineries.

It's believed that the fuel derived from these refineries aren't good for car carburetors but work well for generators.

It is also alleged that these areas are protected by men in uniforms.

If all these is true, wouldn't it be a good idea to support these refineries and let them compete with major oil marketers in the country?
