Nigeria - Nasir El-Rufai, the All Progressive Congress' governorship candidate in Kaduna state has raised an alarm over attempts to manipulate the final figures of the presidential election results in Abuja.
According to GbamTV, El-Rufai says that "specially selected SSS officers have been hand picked to be the 'collation officers' to manipulate, inflate and rewrite the Presidential election results in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Rivers and Enugu to ensure that APC is defeated.
"Enugu has been done, albeit brainlessly. Even a fool can see that the Enugu figures make no sense and ought not to be accepted by INEC. The tragedy in Rivers can only be remedied by another attempt to have an election based sorely on the card reader.
"The other magical numbers from these targeted states will begin to trickle in after 10pm Monday night when it is clear what the figures from the North-West and North-East states are.
"All that needs to be done to catch them red-handed is to compare the numbers already sent with the figures sent. Another approach is to look at the total votes cast for the National Assembly elections and the contradictions will be self-evident.
"There is need for vigilance on the part of all Nigerians and friends of Nigeria at this crucial time. We must collaborate to defeat those that do not mean well for our democracy, our rights and our progress as a nation.
