Enyimba international of Aba have ended the first stanza of the Nigeria professional Football League on Sunday, after beating Rangers international 2-1 on Sunday.
The two time CAF champions league winners are now joint league leaders with Sunshine Stars, who defeated Relegation bound FC Taraba in Akure with 36 points apiece but lead on goals advantage.
Meanwhile, Enyimba midfielder, Kingsley Uluocha, has said that ending the first half on top of the league table, adding that they are on course to winning the title at the end of the NPFL season.
"It is a nice feeling..... Is an indication of a better second half of the league."
"Hard work is just d secret and the victory against Sunshine was the morale booster ahead this game in Enugu. The atmosphere in the camp was high and it all paid off in jubilation."
The 21-year old playmaker attributed their success over Sunshine to last Wednesday hard work, saying the success boosted their confidence to beat the Flying Antelopes in front of their home fans on Sunday.
