Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State has urged Nigerians to stop blaming political leaders for the Country's problems and pray to God instead.
Okowa made the call at the Rock of Ages Christian Assembly International Benin City when he attended the concluding programme of the church’s 2017 convention.
The Governor said, "Do not blame President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, governors or those in government for the recession being faced by the country because, your prayers can change anything in this nation, God can deliver this nation through prayers and you should work hard."
"The church should continue to pray for us as a nation, when things get rough, Christians should not lose hope, they should get on their knees and cry to our Lord, there is no situation that God cannot change," he said, adding, "even as you pray for the nation and those in government, you will be blessed."
"Please, don't complain, pray continuously because we are sick as a nation and when the nation is sick, it affects all of us but I believe that as we pray, the Lord will hear us, He will heal our land and make us prosper."
