The Action Alliance (AA) candidate for Saturday's governorship election in Ondo State, Mr. Yinka Orokoto has withdrawn from the race and collapsed his structure with that of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
Speaking at the grand rally of AD in Akure, the state capital, Orokoto said he has collapsed his campaign structures with that of Chief Olusola Oke and that his supporters should vote for the AD during the election.
The party’s secretary, Kenneth Eze, said the people should discountenance AA’s name on the ballot paper and vote for Chief Oke as the Nation-al Executive Committee (NEC) of the party has agreed to support AD in the election.
Oke, who appreciated the gesture, said the fact that a political party and its candidate support his candidature shows his acceptability among the electorate in the state.
