This Saturday, thousands of Osun state residents will pour into the streets to cast their votes; deciding the political direction of their state in the next four years.

Here are a few things you should know about the Osun elections.

  • Only those with Permanent voters card (PVC) will be allowed to vote

  • 1,407,222 registered voters are expected to participate in the Osun elections
  • There are 332 Wards, 3,010 Polling Units, and 3,379 Voting Points in the state.
  • 19 domestic and 10 foreign observers were accredited by INEC to monitor the election
  • Over 5,000 operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) have been deployed to Osun for the elections
