The PDP national secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo mentioned earlier that he was spearheading a plan to ensure the return of Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso to the party's fold, wooing them with the promise that if they let President Jonathan complete his second term, they would be given a shot at presidency in 2019.
The plan, we can report today, has flopped.
Both Atiku and Kwankwaso say they are done with the PDP.
Kwankwaso says the attempt on the part of the PDP is a sign that PDP will lose Kano in 2015 if he doesn't support them.
Baba Halilu Dantiye, the Kano state governor's director of press, speaking on Kwankwaso's behalf says by merely asking for Kwankwaso's return the PDP has said it had no confidence in the leadership of the Kano PDP.
