Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Adebimpe Akinsola, has observed that the spate of impeachment currently going on in the country is a ploy by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain in power by all means.
Akinsola, who made the observation in an interview, argued that impeachment of state Governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) was a calculated attempt by “one party to remain in power by fire and by force and I don’t think this impeachment saga will help, but it will only contribute to the problems that we have in Nigeria”.
The lawmaker pointed out that democracy in any clime is better than any other form of government, just as she admonished the perpetrators to cease forthwith “because with the way they are going about it now anything can happen”.
