The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said it is shocked at the scale of attack against it from the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, and its leaders including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, but said it will not engage in “political mudslinging”.
“Whilst the PDP recognizes the inalienable right of citizens to hold opinions and identify with political platforms of their choice, we indeed find it very difficult to understand this type of bitterness towards the party even from persons such as the former Vice President who hugely benefitted from the PDP.
