Politics Police Resume Probe of Saraki, Ekweremadu For Senate Forgery

The Nigeria Police has reopened investigations of senate rules forgery against Senate President Bukola Saraki, his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, and other senate leaders, The Nation reports.

A letter has been written to the National Assembly Clerk (CNA), Mr. Mohammed Sani Omolori for additional information to assist the investigation.

Reports say the case was reopened when the National Prosecution Coordination Committee(NPCC) on August 19, 2016 wrote a letter to the Inspector-General, Mr. Idris Ibrahim, seeking answers to some questions and asking for the complete Hansard of the 9th and 24th June, 2015 to see what transpired on the floor of the Senate.
