No fewer than 10 persons have been killed in a fresh attack by al-Shabab millitants near Kenya's coastal town of Mpeketoni.
According to BBC, the gunmen raided at least one village overnight.
Al-shabab has already claimed responsibility for the attack, as Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab, a spokesperson for the Islamist terror group was quoted telling Reuters , "We raided villages around Mpeketoni again last night".
Last Sunday, al-shabab killed atleast 48 persons when it attacked hotels and a Police station in Kenya. The group claims its attack on Kenya is due to the presence of Kenyan troops in Somalia and the killing of Muslims.
