George Akume, former Governor of Benue state and senate majority leader is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to emerge senate president.
VANGUARD reports that Akume who was in the South-West last week, met former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu and former Osun State governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola to seek their support for his bid.
Akume also went to Kano to secure the support of Governor Rabiu Kwwankwaso. Whether or not his mission was a success is yet to be known.
