AITEO Group has denied any involvement with Nigeria's ex president Goodluck Jonathan and ex minister of petroleum resources Diezani Alison-Madueke, saying it has had no business interests with the duo, Daily Trust says.

This follows an investigation into an oil for fuel swap deal between oil firms and the immediate past government of Nigeria.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Aiki Odiawa, AITEO said none of its directors or executive management personnel has been charged of any offence in any court of law and nor has any of the company’s official, due to the ongoing investigative exercise being undertaken by the Department of State Security (DSS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC).

It said the company was always prompt in responding to requests to submit documents and honuour invitations by government agencies for clarification of its participation in the oil swap programmes.

It also dismissed a Sahara Reporters' article saying it was involved in spurious oil swap deal and records manipulation.
