During an appearance on Channels TV Programme 'Politics Today' , Sani said that the suspension proves that the President is listening and that the Nigerian senate was right in summoning the SGF weeks ago.

Senator Sani said, ''now it very clear that the president has heeded the call of Nigerians.''

''People will now believe when we say we're fighting corruption. Buhari has shown clearly that he has the ability to dispense justice not just to those outside power but those also within the corridor of power.''

Now, it is time for the Nigerian Senate and legislators to follow the way of the Executive. We need to commend some of your works as well.

Not yet Uhuru

This is simply the realignment of the APC politicians. They have made it clear to the president that time is up and he has done nothing with his henchmen at his side. Now 2019 is round the corner and the men in the shadows are now awake.

The president did not react to anything before this, took ages to get a cabinet, EFCC have tried everyone in public and failed to secure any meaningful conviction, all the noise about arms $2 billion has now died down, Deziani's alleged $20 billion is still missing, Sanusi's $30 - 70 billion is still missing, Oshiomole's $6 billion is still missing (he made the claim after a trip to the US), we have not arrested any Boko Haram financier... I am not ready to get sucked into this one until we see a proper road map.

In that time we have made new multi-billionaires using the currency markets. Someone always wins either way!

We now need something really special to justify the anti-corruption noise.

We need more than this to agree with the presidency that it is truly fighting corruption. There are lot of pending or forgotten corruption cases yet to be opened that would have served as evidence that the govt has fulfilled its anti-corruption promises. God Bless Nigeria!!!

Nigerians can never be satisfied. Rome was not built in a day [though in our case, it is very sluggish]. The problem of corruption troubling this country is monumental, chipping it off one bark at a time is the right way to go.

No matter how proactive, reactive, active or passive the steps are, this government is proving that its anti-corruption mantra is no fluke.
