Arsenal have progressed to the semi finals of the FA Cup on Monday night after beating Manchester United 2-1 in front of their home fans on Monday night.
Arsenal scored first in the 26th minute of the game with a goal from Nacho Monreal but Wayne Rooney replicated the favour for the host almost three minutes after the Gunners goal to make the game open to either side.
Meanwhile, Danny Welbeck returned to his former club, Manchester United as an Arsenal player to give the Arsene Wenger-led side the victory that sealed their progress into the semis of the championship.
Arsenal will either face Reading or Bradford city- in a replay of their quarter final game that ended goalless over the weekend on next Monday, while Liverpool will travel to Blackburn hoping to revive their quest of winning a silverware this season.
Liverpoll have already crashed out of the Europa league and are not even in the EPL title contention, so the FA Cup might be their only chance of lifting a title.
Arsenal are nine points behind league leaders, Chelsea on the EPL table and are still in the champions league- hoping to turn their 3-1 defeat around against Monaco.
