Sports Super Eagles Update: Echiejile to undergo MRI scan

The Super Eagles team have received a boost with the return to training of Juwon Oshaniwa on Thursday morning after suffering a slight malaria, but the Eagles' left full back Elderson Echiejile will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury he picked up against Greece.

Echiejile was substituted when the Super Eagles faced Greece in an international friendly on Tuesday, and has not trained since then.

However, in the team’s first session upon arrival in Jacksonville, Oshaniwa trained as normal with the rest of the squad.

"The doctor has an MRI appointment for [Echiejile] today. After that, we'll know exactly what the problem is and where we go from there," Keshi was quoted as saying on KickoffNigeria.com

"Juwon is just coming back after three or four days out with malaria and Musa is slightly injured, otherwise we are about 95 percent ready."
