Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari, on May 8, 2017, travelled to London for follow-up medical consultation with his doctors, according to his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina. The trip makes the second in less than 2 months on March 5. With no date for his return yet, the 74-year old president transferred powers to his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to ''coordinate the affairs of the government'. The media has not reported that the president has spoken to anyone on the telephone but below are some people believed he may have spoken to, but we didn't hear about.

Ibrahim Babangida: Few days ago, former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida gave her daughter, Halima, hand in marriage. It was a gathering of who-is-who in Nigeria as Minna, the Niger State capital, stood still for the wedding. At least 26 private jets and four Police and Air Force aircraft landed in the city for the wedding, ferrying in various dignitaries that attended the event, including immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan, and his wife, Patience; Senate President Bukola Saraki; former Vice President Namadi Sambo; Governors Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna); Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), among others.

President Buhari is believed would have telephoned the former leader to congratulate him on his daughter's wedding.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on 2017 Budget: President Buhari may have telephoned his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo on the 2017 budget that was recently passed by the parliament. The acting President on Wednesday said he will assent to the 2017 budget when he is satisfied with the content. And as well, Buhari may have spoken to him on other affairs of the government.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki: President Buhari may have called the Senate President in connection to the 2017 budget. The National Assembly passed the 2017 Appropriation Bill, more than four months after it was submitted to it by President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari presented the budget documents to a joint session of the National Assembly on December 14, 2016. Both chambers of the assembly raised the figure from N7.30 trillion presented by the president to N7.44 trillion.

Army Chief, Burutai: It cannot be waved off that President Buhari may have spoken with Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai – who recently gave a stern warning to army officials to stay off politics and politically related activities. This warning is against uncertainties in the presidency on account of a rumoured coup plot by young officers in the army.

Aisha Buhari: Aisha is the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari. No doubt, she would have spoken to her husband since his departure, if not even everyday.
