The Alliance for Democracy, AD has suspended its National Chairman, Chief Joseph Avazi.
The members of the National Executive Committee, NEC of the party announced the suspension in Abuja after its meeting that lasted for few hours.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Nola Morufa Olayinka, who briefed the press mid way of the NEC meeting, stated that the National Chairman was suspended for gross misconduct.
Mrs. Olayinka also said the party’s suspended National Chairman was found culpable of anti-party activities, incompetence, lack of accountability, lack of administrative acumen, perjury, dictatorship and other offences.
She, however, stated that members of the National Executive Committee have approved the appointment of Alh. Ayodele Ismail in Acting capacity.
