The Super Eagles of Nigeria have sampled the Arena da Baixada stadium in Curitiba where they will be hosting Team Melli in their opening game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria will be hoping to be the second African team to get a win under their belt,following in the steps of Ivory Coast who won their match against Japan.

The centre referee for tonight's game will be from South America, Carlos Vera from Ecuador.

Both teams have only met once,and it was in a friendly game in 1998 which the Super Eagles won by lone goal.
