Nigeria's leading opposition party, the All Progressives Congress has threatened to set up a parallel government in 2015 if the Presidential elections are rigged.
Vanguard reported that, APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun speaking during the party's mega rally in Osogbo, Osun state said, "In Osun state, I have seen what it means for a governor to be popular. For those who have ears, let them not tamper with a single vote in Osun State. We will not let them. Let me warn further that from now on, the battle line is drawn. The APC will no longer recognise any government arising from fraud. The APC will no longer accept any stolen mandate. After Ekiti, it must not happen again.
"I want to warn particularly as it concerns February 2015. This country wants change, the APC is prepared for free and fair elections. I must warn that if anybody dares to steal the people’s mandate in February 2015, then we in the APC, will not recognise that government and then, we will proceed to set up a people’s government that the people of this country need. For those who have ears to hear, let them hear that there will be consequences if they fail to hear".
