Jelks defeated the reigning champion Ogho-Oghene Egwero to become Nigeria's current fastest man.
Finishing with a time of 10.23secs,Jelks took the top prize with Mozavous Edwards trailing in second position with a time of 10.39 secs.
The former champion Egwero could only finish third,while another former champion Obinna Metu finished in a disappointing fifth position.
In the men’s 110m hurdle event,Tyron Akins won with a time of 13.66 seconds, while Alex Al-Ameen placed second with a time of 13.75 seconds,Martins Ogieriakhi finished third with a time of 13.93 seconds.
