Nigeria - A Benue Socio Political Group, Move For Good Governance and Peace(MGGP) says it'll send a petition against President Mohammadu Buhari before the United State Congress over attempt by him to meddle into the Benue State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
The group's spokesman Comrade Ujor Peters said friday in Makurdi that despite the assurance given by President Buhari to allow for a free and fair Judiciary, recent event regarding the petition filed against the Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom Of the All Progressive Congress (APC) by some members of the APC and that of Prince Terhemen Tarzoor of the PDP had shown that the president was showing interest in the outcome of the tribunal.
"We have decided to petition the president before the US congress because we realised the US who believe so much in president Buhari's stands on corruption and free judiciary should see the true nature of our president who so far is showing from his presidency that he is not practising what he is preaching", a statement by the group said.
